Basking in the sun is important to iguanas to increase their body temperature and to air their digestion

Iguanas are native to Southern Brazil & Paraguay, as far north as Mexico and introduced to Puerto Rico and southern parts of United States.

They are herbivores and can grow upto 1.5 metres from head to tail, some have grown upto 2 metres in length with a body weight of 9.1 kgs.
