Fun Facts:
The Fantail is a small song bird that is commonly found in forest and parks of the North and South Island and Stewart Island. They can also be found in the Chatham Islands.

The fantail is named after the way their tail feather are shaped like a fan, this fanned tail helps them changed directions.

Faintails commonly eat bugs and fruit, they are sometimes known to hop upside down to eat the insects on the underside of leaves
